Reporting and moderation
How to report content, what happens afterwards, and how you can object.
You can report a user and a photo uploaded to the gallery. With this you can flag if something violates the rules or the law.
How to report
- Find the user or photo you want to report.
- Long-press their name, or open the photo, and choose Report.
- Choose the reason: harassment, offensive content, spam or scam, impersonation, or other.
You only need to report the same content once: we acknowledge a repeated report, but we don't create a new case. You can submit at most 20 reports a day, so that the feature doesn't become a weapon. If you want to write more, you can also report by email at [email protected].
What happens afterwards
A person reviews the report, not automation. When a decision is made, you get a notification about it in the app: both if we took action and if the content didn't violate the rules. We don't tell you exactly what happened to the other party, because that is personal data about them.
If a decision concerns you
If we remove your content, you get a notification in the app that includes the reason for the decision and the fact that it wasn't made by an automated tool. If we restrict your account, you get the reason for the restriction when you try to log in, because with a blocked account you couldn't read an app notification; but we also notify you in the app about the lifting.
You can object to any decision at [email protected], and we will examine it on the merits. This doesn't affect claims you can enforce through courts or authorities.
If someone is in danger, or a crime has taken place, call the authorities. Reporting with us is not an emergency channel.
