Notifications

What notifications we send, when, and how you can turn them off.

You reach notifications with the bell icon in the top right corner of the home screen. If there is an unread one, the bell changes color. Push notifications need your phone's permission, which we ask for on first launch.

What we notify you about

• A reminder for an event you asked a reminder for: one day and one hour before it starts.
• A new event from an organizer you follow.
• An invitation to an event from a friend.
• An event's gallery has opened: this goes to those who checked in at the event.
• A friend request and its acceptance.
• A team invitation, or when an organizer excluded your team from their tournaments.
• A completed quest, together with the reward.
• A moderation decision: if you made a report, if we removed some of your content, or if we restricted or restored your account.

In addition, we send a summary before the weekend if there is an event in your city on Saturday or Sunday.

Turning them off

In the app, under Settings > Notifications, there are two switches: Event reminders and City events. If you turn these off, we don't send the push notifications belonging to them. If you don't want any push notifications at all, you can disable them in your phone's settings for the Vibelify app. The in-app notification list keeps working regardless.

We always calculate reminder timing in Hungarian time, regardless of where you are.
