Editing and deleting an event

What you can change after announcing, when the event isn't visible, and what happens on deletion.

You find your events on the panel's My events page. Clicking any card opens the editor, and after saving the change appears in the app immediately too.

What to watch out for

If the time or the venue changes significantly, it is worth telling the people who requested a reminder separately, because the app doesn't do that for you.

If your event isn't visible

For a paid event pointing to Cooltix, the system checks every 15 minutes whether the agreed VIBELIFY discount code exists on that Cooltix event, is of the right type (percentage or fixed amount) and reaches the agreed amount. If not, the event's status becomes "disabled", and it isn't visible either in the app or on the public website.

In that case a red bar stays at the top of the panel. With a single disabled event, the "Fix it" button takes you straight to that event's editor page, with more, "Take a look" takes you to the event list. On the editor page the specific reason is also shown, and a popup appears with the required coupon code. The fix happens on Cooltix itself; when it is done, you can recheck immediately with the "I created it" button, you don't have to wait for the next round.

If an event never got a valid discount code UNTIL ITS START, it disappears from the panel completely after the start: it isn't in the event list, and its statistics can't be opened either. If it did have a valid code once and was only taken down afterwards, the analytics collected until then remain.

Saving never fails because of the coupon code: your data isn't lost, the event is just not public until the code is in order. The notification to followers also only goes out when the event actually becomes visible, and then only once.

Deleting

You can delete on the My events page, with the trash button in the corner of the card, after a confirmation. The button only appears for events that haven't ended and aren't disabled. There is no deletion on the editor page.

Deletion is final. The event disappears from the app and the public website immediately, and its reminders, check-ins, statistics and gallery are no longer available. The attached tournament, with its matches and registrations, is deleted as well.

If you only want to postpone, don't delete: change the time. This way the reminders remain. If Vibelify tickets have already been sold for the event, the time can only be changed with the "Edit event" function of the ticketing interface, because the buyers have to be notified, and for 7 days, but at the latest 3 days before the new start, they can request a refund.
