Organizer account

How someone becomes an organizer, and what the panel can do.

The organizer account is available on the panel, and it is for announcing events, running tournaments and statistics. It is a separate account: you don't log in with your app account, but with your own email address and password.

Registration

Registration needs an invitation code, which we issue. Without a code the account can't be created. Besides the code you need your email address, a password of at least 8 characters, your organizer name and your city. The registration ends with a bot check, and then we send a confirmation link by email, valid for 24 hours.

If you don't want to announce events but work with us on site, that is covered by the promoter application.

What the panel does

• Announcing and editing events.
• Creating and running beer pong tournaments live.
• Announcing quests and tracking redemptions.
• Moderating an event's gallery.
• Attendance and feedback statistics per event.
• Revenue: settlement and ticket sales data.

Staff

An organizer can add staff members to their team, by username or email address. The staff member gets a Scanner tab in their own app account, and there they can redeem the rewards of the organizer's quests and scan the tickets on site. This doesn't let them into the panel: staff membership only entitles them to redemption and ticket scanning. It is still a permission, so it is worth giving only to those who really work at the event.
