Sales groups: promoters, commission and discount
Inviting a promoter with a personal code, putting them into a group with commission and discount, and assigning the group or the salesperson to the event.
Salespeople (promoters) sell tickets in your name, in return for commission. Three steps: you invite the salesperson, put them in a group (the group gives the commission and the buyer discount), and assign the group or the salesperson themselves to the event.
1. Creating a group
- In the Groups section of the Salespeople page, click the New group button.
- Enter the group's name, for example University promoters.
- Set the commission for the members: as a percentage or as a fixed amount per ticket.
- If you want, also give a buyer discount (percentage or fixed amount). Left empty there is no discount.
On the group's card you see the commission, the discount, the members and the events the group is attached to. If you later change the group's commission or discount, it carries over to the members too.
2. Inviting a promoter
- Click the Invite promoter button.
- Enter their name and email address.
- Choose the group if you want to put them in one right away. This is optional: you can also give them a group later with the pencil. The promoter gets the group's commission and discount, without a group their commission is 0. A promoter can be in one group.
- If you want, enter a personal code (for example ANNA10). It can only be capital letters and numbers, between 3 and 20 characters. Left empty the system makes one automatically, and it doesn't accept a code that is taken.
- Send the invitation.
The promoter gets an email with a link, with which they set their password on sales.vibelify.app. Until they do this, you see them in the "Invited, not yet activated" state on the Salespeople page, and next to their name the Resend invitation link sends a new invitation, valid for 7 days (for example if the old one expired or the email got lost). The buyer can also enter the personal code online at payment, and the promoter gets a commission for the code.
On the promoter's card you can follow their tickets sold, the revenue and the commission due to them. With the pencil you can change their code and their group, or take them out of the group (in that case their commission and discount are reset to zero).
3. Assigning to the event
When creating the event, on the Salespeople card you tick which groups and which individual salespeople can sell the event. You can select a group and a person separately. The same card is also there when editing the event, so you can change it at any time later.
A promoter only sees the events, and can only sell tickets for the events, to which their group or they themselves are assigned. If they aren't assigned to any yet, the sales interface stays empty. When a group is deleted, its members lose access to the group's events.
How do I give a promoter a different commission?
Create a separate group for them with the desired commission and discount, and move them there. The commission and the discount are always the group's setting.
What does the promoter see?
On the sales interface the events of their group, ticket selling and the My sales list. See the What is a sales account article.
