Changing your username, email address and password.

You reach the settings from your profile. In the Account section you can change your username, email address and password, and you also find the list of blocked users here. Theme and data sharing are in a separate article: Appearance and data sharing.

Username

The name can be 3 to 24 characters: letters, numbers, underscore and hyphen. The system rejects taken names and misleading or offensive names. The change takes effect immediately, and we send a security notification about it to your old email address.

You can change your username once a week. If you changed it recently, the system rejects the next change.

Email address

To change it you must enter your current password along with the new address. We send the confirmation notice to your OLD address, so you notice immediately if you didn't start the change. You can't enter an address that already has a user or organizer account.

Password

To change your password you must also enter your current password, and the new password must be at least 8 characters. We send an email notification about the change. If you don't remember the current one, log out and request a new password on the login screen: we email you a code valid for 15 minutes, and setting the new password invalidates all your earlier logins.

If you log in with an Apple or Google account, you have no separate password with us, you manage it with the provider. Since changing the email and password asks for the current password, these items can't be used in that case.
