Creating and editing ticket types
Setting the name, price, quantity and VAT, editing and deleting, on the event's Tickets page.
On the Tickets page of the Sales group in the event's left menu, you create the ticket types that buyers can purchase, for example Early Bird, Regular or VIP.
New ticket type
- Click the New ticket type button.
- Enter its name (for example Early Bird) and its price in forints.
- Leave the Quantity field empty if you don't want an upper limit. If you fill it in, the system sells that many tickets, then it sells out.
- In the VAT (%) field you can enter the VAT rate to be shown on the invoice.
- Save.
In the list, next to every ticket type you see how many pieces were sold and out of how many (or that it is unlimited), and the price.
Editing and deleting
- With the pencil icon you can edit the name, the price, the quantity and the VAT.
- With the trash icon you can delete the ticket type, but only if none has been sold yet. If there is already a sold ticket, deletion is disabled.
- If the event has already ended, ticket types can't be changed.
You can only create a ticket type if your Barion account and your invoicing provider are both connected on the Account page. Until then the button is inactive, and the page shows what is missing. The details are described by the Connecting Barion and invoicing article.
On the Settings page of the event, in the Invoicing card, you can also enter a default VAT and a handling fee in forints.
Why can't I delete a ticket type?
Because a ticket has already been sold from it. The sold tickets remain, so the ticket type can't be deleted either. If you don't want to sell it any more, set the quantity to the number sold so far.
What does it mean if the quantity is empty?
An unlimited number: the ticket type is available for as long as the event lasts.
