Requesting a reminder for an event
What the Reminder button does, and what happens if you change your mind.
On the event page, the Reminder button (the bell icon) tells us you are interested in the event. When it is on, the label changes to We'll notify you and the bell is filled. This is not a ticket purchase, a booking or a confirmed attendance: it brings you a reminder, and shows the organizer the level of interest.
What you get with it
- A reminder one day and one hour before the event starts.
- The organizer's quests appear on your profile.
- When you arrive at the venue, the app can check you in automatically, see the check-in article.
- After the event we ask how it was: see the rating article.
Undoing it
You can turn it off at any time with the same button. From then on we stop sending the reminders too.
A reminder doesn't guarantee entry, and it doesn't tell the organizer about you by name. The entry conditions, the age limit and any ticket requirement are always set by the organizer and the venue.
After the event starts, the button disappears: you can't request a reminder for an event that is already running or has ended.
